I’ve been playing guitar for many years, but only started recording while trying out Logic Pro recently. I have uploaded a few of these recordings to Soundcloud and YouTube.

DonDD200 Fairykirk

Trying out my new Boss DD 200 Digital Delay pedal, improvising to one of my all time favourite backing tracks which is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pl8JugCg2eY

Very chilled and Pink Floyd, with loads of ‘shimmer’ delay. I went a bit overboard exploring pinch harmonics at one point, but had a blast playing along to this superb backing track. Again.

My pal Scott wrote the software that created the visuals in this video, I think they go really well together, thank you Scott!

Little Latin Jam

Very groovy Latin backing track, another of my favs, with me playing guitar using a tweaked “Dumble” style patch on my Katana, aiming for a Carlos Santana-esque kind of vibe.

The original backing track by Sebastien Zunino is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQdEfvenheQ

DroneBop

Most of the tracks I upload are of me playing guitar over a backing track – this one is all my own work… with lots of help from Logic. The background ‘drone’ sound is my guitar with a ton of delay (think I used three simultaneous delay effects; two from my amp, one from Logic, plus a stack of reverb!), with little or no Direct signal but lots of feedback and very long delay times. The persussion, bass and keyboards were done with a mix of software instruments/programming and samples in Logic Pro.
